Dance continues at MIT 36-112 through the spring 2012 semister on Wednesday's from 7:30-9:30pm
NB: If winter weather causes travel to be dangerous, dance will be cancelled. I will make announcements to the main Carolingia list, as well as the Carolingia-dance one. If you are interested in keeping up with dance practice, subscribing to the dance list is a good way to be kept in the loop, it is very low traffic, primarily announcements.

For the Fall semister of 2011 we continue to practice at the same time, Wednesday evenings, 7:30pm-9:30pm, and in the same place, MIT room 36-112. We will begin the semister August 31st, see you there! |

The Carolingian Dance website has just been set up, and we're still in the process of figuring out what should go here -- please be patient. If you'd like to help out, drop Justin a note.
Dance practice is currently held on Wednesdays from 7:30pm until 9:30pm in MIT room 36-112. (Building 36, Room 112, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA)

A bunch of changes are coming to Carolingian Dance Practice, as 2010 begins.
First, I'd like everyone to welcome Gundormr Dengir as the new Dancemaster. He's been running Accademia for some time now, and has been helping me run Dance Practice in recent months. As of the new year, we'll be switching roles: he's taking over as lead Dancemaster, with me assisting him. (No, I'm not leaving the SCA, or even Dance Practice. I've just been Dancemaster for four years, and need to go focus on other things now.)
At the same time, we're losing our traditional location at MIT. The Borough of MITgaard isn't able to host us currently, so we're on a hunt for a new location. At this point, it really isn't clear where we're going to wind up, but it'll be posted widely when we find a new home.
The last Dance Practice of 2009 will be December 16th. Following that, things will resume once we've figured out the new location. I expect that, once things settle down, Dance Practice will be back as one of the Barony's main centers for social fun. In the meantime, please bear with us as we adjust to the new circumstances. |
